Every child deserves to walk into school feeling confident, fueled, and ready to learn. But for many students in Washington, the school day starts with a struggle—lack of basic toiletries, outgrown clothes, or an empty stomach.
Branches of Washington was founded to change that. What started in 2024 as a mission between members of local churches has grown into a community-wide movement. We don’t just provide supplies; we bridge the gap between a child’s current circumstances and their future potential.
What We Do
Through our “home base” in Sunnyland, we serve students across all seven Washington schools by providing:
- Care Closets– Direct access to quality clothing, hygiene essentials, and snacks so no child has to feel “different” or distracted by unmet needs.
- Gear for the Game– Giving every child the chance to play by providing donated sports equipment, ensuring that financial barriers don’t keep kids on the sidelines.
- Our Newest Growth: The Sole Purpose Project– We believe a new pair of shoes can change a child’s outlook. Our new goal is to provide every student we serve with a pair of high-quality, brand-new sneakers every school year.
Your Impact in Washington
We are a young, fast-growing organization, and our success is fueled entirely by neighbors like you. As we grow to meet the needs of our community, we invite you to grow with us. Help us stay sustainable. Help us keep our kids moving forward.
Support our Mission: Your financial gift or in-kind allows us to purchase new sneakers and restock our Care Closets. A $50 donation can provide a child with a brand-new pair of high-quality shoes that last the whole year.
Volunteer Your Time: From sorting donations at our parsonage “home base” to coordinating equipment giveaways, we need hands to help us grow. Whether you have two hours a month or two hours a week, there is a place for you here.
